I can’t believe what I just did! After my happy dance for remembering my dreams I accidentally took an entire dose (25 mg) of Seroquel this morning.

 

I HATE THESE MEDS!!! Every time I think I’ve finally got a good system for this cocktail- wham!!

 

Now, do I take my usual dose .13mg at bedtime still??? @Altostrata

Do you mean 0.13mg Lexapro? Did you take Lexapro in the morning at the usual time?

I took everything in the morning as usual INCLUDING 25 mgs of Seroquel in pill form.

I meant 14 mgs of Seroquel- little brain fog

This will be a bump. Suggest you take only 5mg Seroquel tonight. You will already have some in your bloodstream from the 25mg in the morning.

 

Tomorrow, be sure to take 14mg Seroquel at night per schedule.

 

It may take some time for this to settle down.

Thank you. My husband just mentioned pill cases with night and day sections. Somehow I’ve got to stop these mistakes.

My tongue, since my little mistake, is on warp speed. Back to waggling itself full speed and visibly for extended times. My back hurts, and my mood sucks. But the sun came out and I repotted my plant which looks much happier.

Although, throwing wet paper towels on the ceiling to see if they’ll stick is fun and you can make it into a game.

Also, Don’t Updose During a Taper.

 

Updosed to 20 mg from 14 mg taper. As I mentioned above, my tongue went into overdrive. It has calmed down, almost back to the usual milder and less obvious state. Additionally, in the last week several mild soft palate spasms have occurred and a few full facial twitch’s including eyes checks mouth. Mood has gotten better and back is healed.

Please avoid updosing, it makes the tongue symptom worse. This could become very bad.

 

How long have you been consistently taking 14mg, and how do you feel now?

I have been back to 14mg since 4/7. I am aware of tongue moments. Perhaps a bit more than before the updose, but overall I feel about how I felt before updose. I’ve had a few few face twitches and body tics, and soft palate spasms over the last 20 days- inconsistently

Is this better or worse than your "withdrawal normal"? After you make a reduction, you usually have a few bumpy days, are you feeling better or worse than that now?

The main symptom is my tongue. Last week my tongue was more active than this week. I did grimace once and I had a sp spasm. I have no facial or body tics this week, nor sp spasm.

So the bumps are all clear? Perhaps wait another week before making another decrease. From this point, decreases of 0.5mg probably will be safer. Can you do this?

I decided after last week to hold one more week. My tongue was active, my husband noticed it poke out once or twice. I also felt neuro pain on my back that felt like a hot poker and very foggy brain. Looks like it is passing

This week feels more like my  pre up-dose self. My tongue is quiet, and my husband hasn't seen any poking or wiggling, and no additional hot pokers in my back. Feeling functional

So my plan was to make the cut tonight. Yesterday and today I noticed my tongue is undulating. I’ve had two occasions to wear make up and noticed it then. Tonight my husband said he saw my tongue doing the fast (not slow) waggle left - right which he hadn’t noticed in awhile. With all this still happening should I hold or go forward with the planned cut to 13.5? Thanks!

Hello, @Altostrata. I am at 12.5 mg of Sero. I see my doctor in July and will have a sense of where my Ana numbers stand by end of month. 
 

In the meantime, let’s continue to reduce meds. I’d like to complete the escitalopram. What do you recommend?

What happened after your last Seroquel decrease to 12.5mg?

 

If you're all clear from withdrawal from that dosage change, you might decrease Lexapro. You're taking 0.15mg? Do you want to try 0.135mg?

Interestingly, I have had very little symptoms. In fact, it seems there are days I’m unaware of any symptoms. That usual bump in symptoms hasn’t happened. Things feel very even. 
 

I’m at Lex 0.13 ml/0.13 mg rest right now.

You might sneak off Lexapro like you're sneaking off Seroquel -- small drops after any withdrawal symptoms clear. If you don't have any withdrawal symptoms from reducing such a small amount, you might make a 10% reduction every 5 days.
