I wanted to to ask you a question. Do you get a lot of headaches? Like everyday? I have had a headache everyday for about a week now. It's sometimes behind my right eye and forehead, and sometimes it's in the back of my head. I thought it was because my glasses are bad. I'm going to the eye dr next month. But maybe it's WD?

Yes and migraines.  They ebb and flow but I rarely get relief from them.  I try and stay as hydrated as possible (just water) but often forget...if I get even a little dehydrated the headaches are worse.  I do relate this to w/d. If you are straining to with your vision,  it could defiantly contribute to headache.  Sounds like new glasses would help the situation :) K

Thanks DS:

I really appreciate you stopping by.

I am happy I got to see me granddaughter, even for a little while. She loved her presents.

Brownie is very happy to have her mommy back and I'm happy to have her back.

I don't know if my headaches are WD, or stress. I do know that I have 4 different prescriptions for glasses and I picked the 2 best ones. Next month I'm going to a qualified optometrist, not one of those that checks your eyes and you get your glasses in an hour like I did. I'm wondering if that's the problem.

I'm going to try to relax now that everything is over.

Hope you are doing well.

Take care,

Frogie xx

I rarely get headaches but I thought I remembered you getting headaches.

I drink a lot of water.

I went to one of those places where you get your eyes checked and glasses in an hour. It was a mess. After all was said and done I ended up with 4 prescriptions and picked 1 for reading and 1 for driving, but I don't think either are right. I'm going next month to a qualified optometrist and going to take the prescriptions and my glasses and ask lots of questions.

I wonder too if it could be stress or WD? Guess I'll find out soon enough.

It was awesome to see my granddaughter. I can hardly wait until we are home. She is the light of my life.

And I'm so happy to have Brownie next to me again. She is very happy too.

Hopefully you are doing better.

Take care,

Frogie xx

Very wise to get a thorough eye examination and the correct lenses.  I have worn glasses since I was 10.  I''m short sighted.  Unfortunately I noticed a further decline in my vision when I was taking Seroquel.  Then over the past month or so I haven't been able to wear my contact lenses due to irritation...this hasn't happened before (been using contacts since I was 16). So I need to visit the optometrist as well...again!!!

I just don't think my glasses can be correct when you have 4 prescriptions and you pick the 2 that are the best. And this all happened within a week. I see trapazoids with my glasses to read with and my driving glasses are blurry. I guess you get what you pay for when you go to those places that you get your eyes checked and glasses in an hour. I'll be glad to see a qualified optometrist and ask lots of questions. My fiancé said my headaches could be stress related too. With everything that happened over Christmas and the remodeling. And then this weekend. He said take it easy for a couple of days and maybe they will settle down. Especially since I finally got to see my granddaughter.  But I can't wait to get correct glasses!

I hope you get yours straightened out also.

Take care,

My fiancé said my headaches could be stress related too. With everything that happened over Christmas and the remodeling. And then this weekend. He said take it easy for a couple of days and maybe they will settle down. Especially since I finally got to see my granddaughter.  But I can't wait to get correct glasses!

I think your fiancé has a valid point.  When we are stressed and anxious our blood pressure tends to spike which can cause headaches.  K

As an after comment, withdrawal gives me terrible headaches, and I never normally get them at all.  Probably a combination.

I've never had headaches like this. I've have them for about 2 weeks. I'm wondering if it's my glasses too. I'm nauseous this morning again too. :( Running to the bathroom a lot also.

I hope you are well.

Hi Frogie

Fantastic to read  that you have been to see your family and gave your granddaughter her presents. What a wonderful start to the New Year.

Good to hear Brownie is enjoying her food. Bet you are glad to be back with her full time again.

Have a nice rest and hope that will help with the headaches. Visiting is  lovely but

exhausting!

Lots of love

Hi Frogie,

Could it be the headaches are giving you anxiety which is causing you to make lots of bathroom visits and the nausea?

I find if I get a symptom that concerns me (e.g. I had this pulsating pain in my lower abdomen which was probably IBS and has since gone), it can cause a snowball affect, and then I get a cascade of other symptoms off that one.........the joys of HA?

I know exactly what you mean about HA!

I finally couldn't stand it anymore and took a Fiorecet last night for my headache. Then this morning I took some Excedrine migraine on an empty stomach. I'm wondering if that's what's causing it?

I don't have a headache right now, but running to the bathroom and nauseous?

My glasses are also giving me a rough time. I'm going next month to get my eyes checked and the correct glasses.

Question??

I have had a dull headach for a couple of weeks. I think it might be because of the the benzo mistake. Which ramped up my anxiety. But also, I am having problems with my glasses. Then the holidays, and remodeling, etc. I'm going next month to a qualified optometrist and getting my glasses straightened out. I have 4 different prescriptions for glasses from one of those places you get your eyes checked and glasses in an hour. All of that was within a week. Obviously they don't know what they are doing.

I broke down last night and took a Fiorecet. Didn't help completely, so right before bed I took another one. This morning I took Excedrine migraine on an empty stomach.

Now, this morning I am really nauseous and running to the bathroom with GI problems.

Is this caused by the Excedrine and Fiorecet does anyone think?

I really appreciate an answer! :)

Hope everyone is better than me.

Frogie,

Taking the migraine medication on an empty stomach could be the cause of your nausea.......I took paracetomol (pain killer) on an empty stomach and that upset my gut big time.

Check the manufacturers instruction sheet.

I don't understand what drugs.com says. This is on the Fioricet.

It says common, then it says incidents not known?

I guess it's because I don't feel good.

I have the upset stomach but also diarrhea?

Not depressed, but I was anxious before I took it.

Thanks for helping me!

Take care,

Well the diarrhea comes under the "upset stomach" label.

Anxiety is the curse of most of us, so that will also affect your gut.

No, you don't need to go to the dr Frogie.

Your gut reacted badly to the migraine medication without food.

When you're anxious, your gut becomes more sensitive anyway.

Excedrin has caffeine in it, hence the anxiety/insomnia warning, and aspirin in it, so the upset stomach warning too.

All the best.

Current daily meds. Citalopram 2.5mg morning. Diazapam 1.5mg evening, Propanalol 40mg split 4x10mg throughout day.

Recent meds. Fluoxetine 20mg began 24th Nov 2017, CT on 4th December on medical advice due to bad Akathisia. Citalopram 10mg began on 13th Dec 2017, tapered to 2.5mg by 20th Dec 2017 on medical advice. Diazapam 2mg began on 6th Dec 2017 cut to 1.5 mg on 26th Dec. Propanalol 40mg began on 13th Dec. Zopiclone 3.75 mg began 13th December, used maybe 5 times then quit.

Previous history. Tricyclics, Fluoxetine or Citalopram for periods of 6mo to 2yrs over last 25 years. Probably 5 yrs in total. No significant ill effects.

Thanks. I'm in a window after a bad night and morning.

Wow! I didn't know that. I've always taken it for migraines.

I just took took all of this on an empty stomach too.

I did a bunch of painting and tile work lately and then have been complaining that my neck hurts. I'm going to the chiropractor this afternoon. Maybe that will help.

You can never have too many friends on the forum. I talk to a group of people.

Oh I didn't look to see where you lived. I'm sorry. It's Monday, 11:15am where I live.

What meds are you on? Then we can help each other hopefully.

Take care,

Frogie xx
