RubyJ
@Kristine Oh, I'm actually very glad to hear you haven't had trouble at the pharmacy -- it would have been worse if you went to fill it time to time and they couldn't give you any so you just went days without it! That happened to me occasionally. But it does sound like the prescription should never have been approved in the first place :/ I hope your symptoms keep improving! @manymoretodays Actually, I've been on the dextroamphetime for seven years (I'm barely 30 myself). The main problem with getting it filled is that you have to wait until it's almost gone to get it refilled, so any problems refilling almost always result in running out. And you have to take the script in physically, no faxing, etc, etc. In my current state (Montana) I haven't had any issues refilling. In Colorado it was terrible at times, though. Dextroamphetamine 30 mg, started 2011 -- still taking Paxil 2004-2005 Wellbutrin/Bupropion 300 mg, started 2005 -- still taking Prozac/Fluoxetine 40 mg, started 2006 -- still taking Abilify/Aripiprazole 5 mg, started 2014 -- started taper in 2017, finished 2020 At 0.5 mg February 2018 At 0.2 mg/mL September 2018 At 0.18mg/mL October 30, 2018 At 0.17mg/mL December 20, 2018 At 0.16mg/mL January 10, 2019 At 0.15mg/mL February 19, 2019 At 0.14mg/mL April 25, 2019 At 0.13mg/mL June 22, 2019 At 0.12mg/mL August 5, 2019 At 0.11mg/mL September 5, 2019 At 0.10 mg/mL November 7, 2019 At 0.05 mg/mL February 1, 2020 Jumped off March 23, 2020 Link to comment

I see the yucko symptoms from the 4th of March and the improvements since the 31st of January. I'm not getting a feel for if these are day long symptoms or intermittent on some of them..........I think I did see a breakdown on the previous page? The night sweats sound awful. The improvements are nice though. Maybe once a week or so post with the standard format for a couple of days: Hey MMT yes, it's not as clear as it could be! probably a reflection of this muddled mind of mine. It's beyond cog fog...pulverised brain soup?!? Lol....yep, I'll stick to the standard format...it's simpler anyway! 3 hours ago, manymoretodays said: Good Lord.......I know you are doing your best with so many symptoms, and just keeping up with what you can in your life now. All the way down to 3mg. from 10mg. on your Dexamphetamine!!!! Yowsers with a bit of hallelujah??!!! I'll probably have the chamomile with lavender tea tonight......and honey of course from the plastic tub. Much Love, peace, healing/inrecovery, and growth, mmt I really feel dropping the Dex is the correct decision for me. The wd are awful but I am able to distinguish them from the improvements. Notably the nausea and high blood pressure have improved (nausea is gone), pulse rate is stabilising and now I am experiencing periods of time without headaches. I'll write everything in a clearer format next week. I feel like absolute rubbish but I now feel my risk of having a stroke or permanent cardiac issues are diminishing. So many drugs 😢😢 When will psychiatry stop playing prostitute to the drug companies 🤢 I am watching Homeland on SBS on demand (watched everything on Netflix!!) and Carrie, the main actress, has Bi Polar ( we won’t go there!) and now apparently the lithium has pooped out on her and the doctor has put her on seroquel!! Of course she can’t do her job of CIA super sleuth on that so a ‘friend’ has given her Ritalin ( I think) to wake her up from seroquel. I am more interested in Carrie’s mental illness drama than the main plot!! A quote from the last episode when they were discussing the medications that Carrie had: "Clozapine, clonazepam, nortriptyline and lithium...How she can even get out of bed on that cocktail astounds me, yet she does even more.... she is saving the world 🤪 Thank you LRH I've never watched homeland but I think I'll have to now!!! My god, seems like Carrie and I had the same psychiatrist! Well, it's good that Carrie lives in TV land, because from my experience she should be suffering from a chemical lobotomy and she would not have the energy or cognitive ability to brush her teeth (maybe the Ritalin is helping with her personal hygiene) let alone solve any crimes...or chase down criminals.... or save the world Citalopram 20mg - 40mg ~ approx 2010 - October 2015 (stopped over one week) Parnate 20mg - 50mg and olazapine 5mg ~ Jan 2016 - May 2016 (ceased over 2 days) Lithium 450mg-900 mg and Thyroxin ~May 2016 - May 2017 Diazepam various doses (including PRN) ~ 2015 - 2017 Oxazepam various doses (including PRN) ~ May 2016 - June 2016 Lurasidone 20mg ~Mid May 2016 - Mid June 2016 Vortioxetine 10mg - 20mg ~ 6th June 2016 - 20th July 2016 (abruptly ceased) Amitriptyline 200mg ~July 2016 - September 2016 (ceased over 1 week) Nortriptyline (dose ?) ~October 2016 ~ November 2016 (abruptly ceased) Seroquel XR 100mg - 300mg ~ May 2016 - August 2017 (ceased over 3 weeks) Escitalopram 10mg - 30mg ~ August 2016 - March 2017 (ceased over 2 weeks) Bupropion 300mg ~ December 2016 - May 2017 (ceased over 1 week) Clonazepam 1.5mg daily ~ July 2016 (started tapering May 2017 - September 2017 currently on 0.375mg..ie 0.125mg TDS) 27th May 2018 5% 0.357mg (possible paradoxical reaction - see benzo thread) 28th June 5% 0.337mg, 28th July 10% 0.303mg, 12th September10% 0.272mg, 18th September reinstated 10% due to intolerable WD 0.303mg, 1st October-11th Oct 10% (1% reduction over 10 days) 0.272mg, 22nd October clonazepam ceased crossed over 10mg diazepam Dexamphatamine 20mg ~ December 2016 (started tapering October 2017 - tapered 1.25mg 4th Dec 2017, 1.25mg 19th Dec 2017 6.25mg, Speed up decrease due to major interaction between Dex and fluoxetine- ref to thread 10% 17th Feb 2018 5.63mg, 10% 21st Feb 2018 5.1mg, 10% 26th Feb 2018 4.5mg 10% 28th Feb 4.1mg, 10% 1st March 3.7mg, 10% 5th March 3.3mg, 10% 8th March 3mg, 10% 10th March 2.7mg, 10% 12th March 2.4mg, 10% 14th March 2.16mg, 10% 16th March 1.94mg, 10% 18th March 1.74mg, 10% 20th March 1.57mg, 10% 21st March 1.41mg, 10% 22nd March 1.26mg, 10% 23rd March 1.13mg, 10% 24th March 1.01mg, 10% 25th March 0.9mg, 10% 27th March 0.81mg, 10% 29th March 0.73mg, 10% 31st March 0.66mg, 10% 2nd April 0.59mg , 10% 4th April 0.53mg, 10% 6th April 0.47mg, 10% 8th April 0.42mg, 10%10th April 0.37mg, 11th April 0.2mg, 12th April 0.1mg (last dose) OFF! I cancelled all my appointments with him that day. I walked out the door and never returned. That was the day I slowly started to take my life back.....these are the medications I was taking just one year ago... Just one week prior to my final appointment I had been CT off 30mg of escitalopram (Lexapro). Buproprion (Wellbutrin) 300mg Fluoxetine (Prozac) 40mg Quetiapine XR (Seroquel) 300mg Clonazepam 1.5mg dexamphetamine 20mg Lithium 900mg Thyroxine (I am unable to locate any blood test indicting that my TSH blood test was low) I think I just needed to write it down to remind myself just how far I have come. What I can remember: 2006- Effexor started at 75mg upped to 300mg somewhere after 2008- Switched to Cipralex started at 5mg upped to 20mg 2017- added Wellbutrin 150mg to Cipralex 20mg occasional use of Ativan 0.5mg sublingual, usually given 7-10 tabs -- (last used Nov 2017 ... previous? my mom's death probably? 2013) Cold turkey Nov 13, 2017 (used Ativan once a day when it was unbearable until Rx finished) 24 Jan. 2018 - Reinstated Cipralex 5mg 31 Jan. 2018 - started Cetirizine Hydrochloride for severe allergies due to tattoo --- stopped 24 Feb. 2018 26 Feb. 2018 - Coversyl 4mg Currently: 5mg Cipralex , 16mg Serc (for Meniere's), 4mg Coversyl (high blood pressure) Supplements: 300mg Magnesium Link to comment

I am more interested in Carrie’s mental illness drama than the main plot!! wantrelief
Wow - Kristine....look at how far you've come in one year; you should be so proud of yourself. You are a survivor! -1/06 - 3/07 Cymbalta. Fast taper (essentially CT); withdrawal symptoms after 4 mos (didn't realize was WD) -10/07: 100 mg Zoloft; 1 mg Klonopin - tapered off Klonopin after 4 mos. Several unsuccessful slow tapers of Zoloft; went up and down in dose a lot -Spring 2013 back on 1 mg Klonopin to counter WD symptoms; switched over 5-6 mos from Zoloft to 35 mg citalopram -Two attempts at slow tapering citalopram, always increased dose due to WD; also increased Klonopin to 1.25 mg in 2014, then to 1.5 mg in 2015 -8/17-9/17: After holding one year at 20 mg, feeling withdrawal symptoms due to stress - slowly increased to 25 mg. No change in symptoms after 6 months (? tolerance ?) - decided to start citalopram taper February 2018 (still on Klonopin 1.5 mg). Kristine
Hey All, I'm having terrible difficulty with my cognitive function. I feel like my brain has shut down and is drowning in sludge. I've been trying to write my symptom pattern here, by transcribing it from my journal which I'm embarrassed to say is an absolute dogs breakfast. I need to get one of those appointment journals that Alto suggests because I have clearly lost my ability to be clear and concise at the moment. For the past two weeks in particular my poor note taking looks like a toddler has run off with my journal Anyway, I'm happy to report that I woke this morning less sweaty and the afternoon/evening irritability/akathisia symptoms have subsided significantly. The latter is perplexing to me...I thought it would be getting worse as the dexamphetamine reaches even lower doses...I'm not complaining Much Love K xo Citalopram 20mg - 40mg ~ approx 2010 - October 2015 (stopped over one week) Parnate 20mg - 50mg and olazapine 5mg ~ Jan 2016 - May 2016 (ceased over 2 days) Lithium 450mg-900 mg and Thyroxin ~May 2016 - May 2017 Diazepam various doses (including PRN) ~ 2015 - 2017 Oxazepam various doses (including PRN) ~ May 2016 - June 2016 Lurasidone 20mg ~Mid May 2016 - Mid June 2016 Vortioxetine 10mg - 20mg ~ 6th June 2016 - 20th July 2016 (abruptly ceased) Amitriptyline 200mg ~July 2016 - September 2016 (ceased over 1 week) Nortriptyline (dose ?) ~October 2016 ~ November 2016 (abruptly ceased) Seroquel XR 100mg - 300mg ~ May 2016 - August 2017 (ceased over 3 weeks) Escitalopram 10mg - 30mg ~ August 2016 - March 2017 (ceased over 2 weeks) Bupropion 300mg ~ December 2016 - May 2017 (ceased over 1 week) Clonazepam 1.5mg daily ~ July 2016 (started tapering May 2017 - September 2017 currently on 0.375mg..ie 0.125mg TDS) 27th May 2018 5% 0.357mg (possible paradoxical reaction - see benzo thread) 28th June 5% 0.337mg, 28th July 10% 0.303mg, 12th September10% 0.272mg, 18th September reinstated 10% due to intolerable WD 0.303mg, 1st October-11th Oct 10% (1% reduction over 10 days) 0.272mg, 22nd October clonazepam ceased crossed over 10mg diazepam Dexamphatamine 20mg ~ December 2016 (started tapering October 2017 - tapered 1.25mg 4th Dec 2017, 1.25mg 19th Dec 2017 6.25mg, Speed up decrease due to major interaction between Dex and fluoxetine- ref to thread 10% 17th Feb 2018 5.63mg, 10% 21st Feb 2018 5.1mg, 10% 26th Feb 2018 4.5mg 10% 28th Feb 4.1mg, 10% 1st March 3.7mg, 10% 5th March 3.3mg, 10% 8th March 3mg, 10% 10th March 2.7mg, 10% 12th March 2.4mg, 10% 14th March 2.16mg, 10% 16th March 1.94mg, 10% 18th March 1.74mg, 10% 20th March 1.57mg, 10% 21st March 1.41mg, 10% 22nd March 1.26mg, 10% 23rd March 1.13mg, 10% 24th March 1.01mg, 10% 25th March 0.9mg, 10% 27th March 0.81mg, 10% 29th March 0.73mg, 10% 31st March 0.66mg, 10% 2nd April 0.59mg , 10% 4th April 0.53mg, 10% 6th April 0.47mg, 10% 8th April 0.42mg, 10%10th April 0.37mg, 11th April 0.2mg, 12th April 0.1mg (last dose) OFF! Frankly, I am amazed at your continued ability to write articulately and lucidly and include hilarious aphorisms (or something like an aphorism but I am too cog fog to go any farther down the vocab rabbithole). I barely write at all as I often can't get more than a sentence or two or a simple "me too" typed. And I hit the "edit" button at least twice. Thank you my friend, gee, you are very kind! Oh yes "me too" and "I'm sorry" and "that's crap" are often my two words into a sentence...then nothing...........thank goodness for the edit button! I've had the cog fog since at least 2015 but that was a doddle compared to this. Yes, it's connected with the drop but I don't think it is isolated to withdrawal. I think the clonazepam and fluoxetine are also behaving differently in my system due the reduction in the dexamphetamine. I've been trying to read about all this but, alas, grey matter is not cooperating Much Love.
