Greenjoe04
@GreatfulThank you so much for checking on me. I really appreciate it. Days going ok yesterday dad and I went out on a sailboat and watched fireworks was nice. But I'm paying for it today whole body hurts and super tired. I'm sorry your having a ruff day. Do you live with anyone ? Anything I can do to help ? I'm the one that has to get all the supplies. It's not to bad do Walmart pickup 2007 till 2020 prescribed citalopram 20mg first few years and then bumped up to 40mg cant remember exact time when moved up or why the dr wanted me to 2016 started taking a specific brand of citalopram (amneal) as found out through trial and error. That when my pharmacy would switch brands caused ups and downs 2016 started taking modafanil 100 mg to help ease the fatigue from citalopram. Ended up being perfect combo. Life was amazing and for first time in life was truly happy. Dad retired we moved to a small homestead and I started building my dream of a self sufficient homestead and taking care of dad. Life was good till one day I went to fill my prescription and they said amneal no longer makes citalopram. And your Dr has it to be brand specific. I called my dr and she said since we know other brands made me feel worse. And that since Life was going so well try without the meds. No mention of withdrawl. That was end of Feb 2020 Was ok for about 2 months then had cardiac arrest and been living in withdrawal hell ever since Link to comment
Mentor Greatful Posted July 8, 2021 Mentor Share Posted July 8, 2021 @Greenjoe04 Sorry I didn't get back to you, I have been in a slump myself. How are you doing? I am so glad that you and your dad were out together on the 4th and on a sail boat, sounds fun. So you sail? But I can relate to that little bit waring you out. I live with my husband. All our kids have moved on. He is very supportive but I think he is getting worn out. I can't blame him, it is not watch someone you love going through so much pain and you can't fix it. I do get jealous sometimes when he can go on with a normal life and I am stuck in this one. I guess he is kind of stuck to, we don't do much anymore and it does get boring. He works from home so he is stuck with me all day. How is your dad dealing with your WD? I bet it is hard on him to watch you suffer. The weather is cooler so I can be outside more. Mentor Greatful Posted July 17, 2021 Mentor Share Posted July 17, 2021 @Greenjoe04 Hey guy. Sorry you are still are struggling so hard. Your break is coming soon. I am in a little slump in my W/D. Some depression and now I am really dizzy. Call me bowling ball brain and bobblehead. How are you doing? I know a silly question. Just hoping for a tad bit of improvement☺️ I am glad that your neighbor is there to give a helping hand. I was not sure how close anyone lived by you. That is great that you have a sailboat. Who does the navigating? What a great place for you to go with your day to spend sometime with him. You don't even have to sail right, could you just go there to sit and be on the water? Bring a lunch. Sounds relaxing and peaceful. I always loved to be by water, a stream, river, lake, ocean. (Even a swimming pool work in a pinch) So peaceful. https://www.survivingantidepressants.org/topic/24894-greatful-is-this-withdrawal-or-to-many-med-changes-at-once/ 1995? Mentor Greatful Posted August 16, 2021 Mentor Share Posted August 16, 2021 @Greenjoe04 Thank you for responding. I was getting very worried about you. Oh my gosh can they do anything for your cervical myelopathy? My guess you have been to the doctors? Did you get this injury when you fell? Are you still sleeping all the time? Is your dad getting worse? Any relief at all? I wish I could do more for you, but I am here if you want to talk. Greenjoe04
@Greatfulthank you for checking in on me really means alot surgery is an option but wont make things better only slow down progression 2007 till 2020 prescribed citalopram 20mg first few years and then bumped up to 40mg cant remember exact time when moved up or why the dr wanted me to 2016 started taking a specific brand of citalopram (amneal) as found out through trial and error.

Mentor Greatful Posted September 13, 2021 Mentor Share Posted September 13, 2021 @Greenjoe04 Thanks for asking. I am feeling a little better today. I am so glad and relieved you are feeling better. I was really worried about you. Remember to take it day by day. Please don't push yourself to hard or be hard on yourself because of your limitations right now. Enjoy the small stuff that you can do with your dad. The rest of your healing will come in time. Medical science is always advancing. I know a person who had epilepsy and had grand mal seizers, a lot of seizers many a day at times. She checked in to doing brain surgery in the early stages of that type of brain surgery, the chances of paralyses was high so she waited for things to advance. She did end up getting the brain surgery and it took care of a nearly all her seizers.

Mentor Greatful Posted November 24, 2021 Mentor Share Posted November 24, 2021 (edited) @Greenjoe04 Thank You letting me your are okay. A 2 month window is wonderful. How is your injury to your neck/back? I am sorry to hear your dad is not living with you anymore and the dreams you had with him are not going to work out. You must take care of yourself both emotionally and physically. Hopefully this will help you stay away from any deep wave. Be careful of any negative self talk. Do not let fear of "the what if" take over, remember we will naturally go through ups and downs with life. You made it out of one the darkest, loneliest times in your life, you are going to be okay. Learn good coping skills. Spend what time you can with your dad, enjoy your time with him. I would love it if you can keep in touch. 😊 Edited November 24, 2021 by Greatful https://www.survivingantidepressants.org/topic/24894-greatful-is-this-withdrawal-or-to-many-med-changes-at-once/ 1995? Mentor Greatful Posted November 24, 2021 Mentor Share Posted November 24, 2021 @Greenjoe04 It's okay to have those feeling, but remember thoughts and feeling can lie to you. You are a very strong and capable person to whether things. I would recommend that you find a good therapist to help you navigate the big set backs you are experiencing in life, your WD, your dreams you had with dad not working out, watching your dad get sick. But know that you will be okay. Remember one minute, one hour, one day at a time. Remember you are never alone.....
