luv2knit
Well I had a good part of the day with very low level akathisia, got errands done, etc... BUT... It's back now. Question is... How bad will it get and for how long? (Right now, it's pretty much at that frustrating level where it's extremely distracting, but could be worse.). Feeling like it's going to be a long night, but hoping I'm wrong! Zoloft 100 mg. daily for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since Oct. 1994 / Synthroid 88 mcg. daily / Supplements: Neptune Krill Oil-1,000 mg. twice daily/Astaxanthin 10 mg. twice daily/Ubiquinol 100 mg. twice daily (These 3 have allowed me to discontinue (approved by doctor) bp meds I was on. Calcium Citrate 500 mg. daily/Vitamin D3 2,400 iu daily/K2 (MK7) 100 mcg daily (osteopenia and fam. hist. of severe osteoporosis). Stress B Complex (1/2 dose)/Quercetin (for allergies/asthma)/Magnesium (400 mg. oral glycinate and about 50 mg. magnesium chloride spray oil a day, divided throughout day). Tapered Zoloft about 6 wks. Totally off since the end of July (25-29, 2014). 3 wks. vertigo at end of taper, then 3-4 wks. OK, followed by withdrawal symptoms increasing in severity (nausea, gastric disturbances, loss of appetite, insomnia, restlessness, jitters, anxiety, agitation--jumping out of my skin--possible akathisia?) Seem to have paradoxical reactions to everything new, even Vitamin C. Severity of akathisia comes and goes, but is constant to some degree. Hard to leave house, and cannot be home alone. luv2knit
Yes, no way of knowing what will happen next. The odds are, though, that I am "due" for a rough day or so. If that doesn't happen, I will be extremely pleased, and will feel like I am actually making progress indeed. While I have had some fairly crappy days or parts of days, according to my journal, today was the fifth day since I have had what I really had to consider a "bad" day. I think that is a record. luv2knit
The thing that has been the most frustrating for me the last month or so has been the absence of relatively low akathisia days (like today), I had one about a week ago, and the last one I had before that was the day after Thanksgiving. luv2knit
Idk whether I jinxed myself, or whether I'm just learning the pattern where there really is none. Awake at 1:30 a.m., though, rocking in chair, with a return of numbness/burning/tingling in extremities, anxiety, and moderate akathisia. Hoping I will be able to get more sleep yet, but not holding my breath Generally, my sleep "pattern" lately has been two bad nights followed by one decent night. At this rate, maybe I will have a decent night/day Christmas Eve and Christmas day?! (Because the days following the "decent" nights are almost always better than the ones following no sleep.) luv2knit
At most, managed to doze about 30 minutes between 4:30 and 6:00 a.m., and not even sure about that. luv2knit
Sorry you're feeling bad. I feel like I am in a losing battle to keep the akathisia from ramping up and staying there Zoloft 100 mg. daily for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since Oct. Hard to leave house, and cannot be home alone. luv2knit
tgirl, you're very welcome. JDM, I am a total wreck. Usually when I get this way, it doesn't last very long. Today has been the exception, and I pray it's not the start of a new pattern. As I said earlier, I had a complete meltdown. I screamed, I cried, I wanted to tear my hair out. I have settled a little, but the feelings are still there. I had one more Christmas present to wrap, and it was heavy and breakable. I was going to let my husband wrap it, but he was busy, and I just wanted to be able to say I did it--so I did. Go me! Very small victory in a very bad day!!
