LexAnger
Was thinking of you this morning actually. Glad to hear you. Really sorry about the extra stress. I think you are right to hold on for a while to handle the stress. It has been a hellish weeks for me lately getting down to 3.2 mg right after I felt some hope. ikam
Sorry to hear it has been so hard for you...what helps? I have noticed that when I am busy, I tend to forget about my symptoms... melanie
no symptoms at all... if anything it is related to my life (noisy environment, divorce, financial problems...etc.)... Hi Ikam, I feel very uplifted by your update. No symptoms at all! I've been holding on 1,25 mg Lexapro for two months. Lots of WD symptoms unfortunately, maybe it's the original disease... Maybe other drugs. Two failed RI's to 2,5 mg along the way (3 days and 2 days respectively). If I were you, I would wait until the divorce proceedings are over. And then continue the taper... Divorce is a very stressful thing. I hope it goes smoothly for you. Wishing you lots of healing, Mel 1990-1992 Anafranil. OCD under control, extreme social phobia. Hospitalized for the 1st and 2nd time (out of 3). 1999-2002: Prozac 20 mg. Stopped due to severe anxiety. Increased benzo consumption. 2003-2005: AD free (therapy). Feeling good, started working. Persisted 9 yrs in full-time job. 2005-2007: Ixel (milnacipran). SNRI. 2007-2011: Lexapro 10-15 mg. Fatigue and anxiety. Mania. Insomnia. Acne. Shopoholism. Polydrugging with different meds. 2011-2013: Effexor 37,5-150 mg (mostly 75 mg). SNRI. Fatigue and depression, terrible acne with scars, now gone. April 2013: Wellbutrin 150 mg. Hot flashes, extreme appetite, aggression. May 2013 - May 2014: Prozac - from 10 mg to 0 mg, very harsh taper. Functioning great but EXTREME ANXIETY. From May 2014: tried different ADs to replace Prozac, nothing worked, terrible side effects (Seroxat, Zoloft, Luvox, Brintellix, Doxepin, Trazodone). May 2014 back to benzos (Valium) in hope of improvement, aggravated depression and anxiety. Sept. 2014: Lexapro 2,5 mg, highest dose 5 mg for 1,5 months (Spring 2015). Steady decline, anxiety, fatigue. Diagnosed with OCD, dysthymia, social phobia, anxiety disorder, insomnia, eating disorder (first bulimia, then anorexia). Current meds: Seroquel 6,25 mg for sleep - 5 mg since Nov. 5, 2015. Lexapro 1,25 mg since Aug. 4th 2015. ikam
Hmmm, Melanie, I have noticed that when I don't concentrate too much on some "symptoms" they go away...so even if I have something I try to concentrate on something else... LexAnger
I don't blame you for thinking that way. I am currently going through a hell being like this for couple weeks already since my last tiny cut. I feel regret I don't just hold on to maintain the minimal functionality. Martina23
Ikam that is great that you got a job. Dont worry that you dont manage it. Being fired is actually very common and has nothing to do with you. Last week my boss was also shouting with me, I was afraid she will kick me out, maybe she will do, but I always continue to believe I am ok and she just does not see my qualities. From what I read I think you are better than you think. 05/2013 Lyrica 100 mg / per day for pain + PGAD resulting from caesarian delivery11/2014 started to taper: 50 mg per day/ for one week then c/tafter one month reinstated at 50 mg /per days of 10 July 2015 drug free- symptoms OCD Link to comment

Tilly
Good for you, Ikam! You have made huge progress since we first 'spoke'. I am so pleased for you! Temporary / agency work has a huge advantage in withdrawal as the short term contracts allow a certain freedom. They do not tie you down or into a contract and allow you to take rest breaks in between contracts if needed. This is a great strategy that supports the ebb and flow of withdrawal. You are not a 'fake' as you perceive yourself to be. You are worth so much more than you know right now. Your new employers obviously value you and they have a vested interest in seeking out weaknesses in potential employees. Take their feedback as the huge compliment it is on how you present yourself and your skills base. Good luck in your new job! Tilly
Ikam, I'm sorry to hear that you have faced a lot of difficult experiences recently. You have had and continue to have a lot of transitions and life changes that would cause stress to anyone, whether they are in withdrawal or not. Remember this. You are doing the very best that you can right now. That is enough. Have you started your new job yet? If so, how are you finding it? How is the gym going? How are weekends treating you lately? Are you finding it any easier to find peace in quiet times? I really hope so. Take good care and be kind to yourself. ikam
Update: I like my new job...hope new job likes me... Unfortunately, have had a very bad chest infection. As I did not want to start my new job from taking sick-leave I used "Night/day- nurse" http://www.dayandnightnurse.co.uk/. I know it contains drugs I should be really careful with. I know for sure I was addicted to codeine... So it has triggered my cravings for drugs (drugging myself)...and I did take over-dose of doxepin yesterday (250mg) ...slept all day... Today I think I need to get on with tapering doxepin, so I don't have this drug at home...this is the only way I can control these drugs...this is how I deal with codeine... I am feeling pretty low today...tired of this continuing cycle of addiction... (when I was recently at my mother's I was shocked, as she takes around 30 pills a day and cannot see that she is addicted...cannot see that some of her symptoms are just side effects from drugs interacting with one another...)... - 12.03.2021- doxepin- 50mg - 6.11.2020- 75mg - 16.10.2020- 100mg - 30.09.2020- doxepin- 125mg - May 2020, omeprazole 40mg switched to esomeprazole 20mg - 2012 re-started Doxepin 75mg, evening. ikam
Last year at Christmas Eve I took sleeping pill...then took Naratriptan in the morning...and... This year at Christmas Eve, I am back from work (it has been a good experience), I listened to Classical FM and I am watching some film...I am much happier...I am not drugged...I don't even feel like drugging myself...
