LostInCanada
Hey @jeffelmexicano are you feeling stable enough to taper? If not my suggestion is hold. If you can do smaller drops with out symptoms that is preferred. I can only drop 0.5% a week which works out to less than 2% a month so you are fortunate to be able to do higher than me. Just do what your body is telling you. We need time to heal. It would be good to just taper that middle dose now. Also please update your signature. Did Shep have you split your dose to 3 times daily? This might give you better coverage to prevent interdose withdrawal, but everyone is so individual. Personally, I found it easiest to keep each dose even - it left less room for error and kept the drug level even. 2003-2009 on and off various SSRI's for short periods, Ativan prn 2010-2011 Ativan, up to 1.5mg/day - tapered off without issue 2013-2021 ativan 1-1.5mg 10-12x/month, daily starting Oct 21 to help with buspar WD 2016 - Effexor 75mg, short-term 2021 Mar -Jun Buspar ADR at high dose, tapered 3 months 2021 Aug Wellbutrin 150mg for 5 days (ADR), then MIrtazapine 7.5mg for 7 days (ADR) Oct 22/21 - Direct switch ativan to clonazepam (don't do this) Tapered clonaz Oct/21 - Apr/23 - 0mg! Anything that raises your heart rate too high will also raise cortisol, which in our dysregulated state, the CNS can perceive as stress. Walking, yoga, maybe even light resistance-type exercises might be less stressful on your body. Magnesium helps me, but it's subtle. I prefer magnesium bisglycinate - it's good for muscles. Others prefer threonate, it's really up to you. Both magnesium oxide and citrate can increase bowel function, so you may want to steer clear, unless that's a problem for you. Mentor RachelSusan Posted March 25 Mentor Share Posted March 25 @jeffelmexicano Hello Jeffelmexicano. It sounds like you are living in hell. If you are currently tapering would you consider not tapering for a while? Just hold where you are at? I am holding myself. I haven't tapered in a year and a half. Sometimes it is best to let out bodies get a good rest before we taper again. Parece que estás viviendo en el infierno. Si actualmente está disminuyendo, ¿consideraría no hacerlo por un tiempo? ¿Solo espera donde estás? Me estoy sosteniendo.
No te desesperes. Lo que tienes se puede curar. 1994 Sinequan 150mg daily X 2 years then slow decrease down to 10 mg for years because I got hives when stopped Link to comment

Moderator LotusRising Posted March 25 Moderator Share Posted March 25 @jeffelmexicano I'm sorry to hear you're in such a bad way. I think a lot of us can appreciate the immense difficulty and stamina it takes to taper from these medications. But I ask that you please consider that other members can become scared themselves when they read of others feeling suicidal. In the interest of other members, could you please remind yourself of this before posting, otherwise we may need to start reviewing your posts prior to them going public. I would encourage you to reach out to friends/family for support, or call a crisis line, per my earlier post, as there is a limit to what we can do for you with an online forum. As RachelSusan has pointed out, it may be advisable to continue holding for now. Moderator LotusRising Posted March 28 Moderator Share Posted March 28 @jeffelmexicano I would encourage you to try to remain optimistic in your healing. There are many that have healed before you, or have made great strides in their path off medications. Yes, it is not an easy task, but I assure you, it is all worth it ❤️ 1 2003-2009 on and off various SSRI's for short periods, Ativan prn 2010-2011 Ativan, up to 1.5mg/day - tapered off without issue 2013-2021 ativan 1-1.5mg 10-12x/month, daily starting Oct 21 to help with buspar WD 2016 - Effexor 75mg, short-term 2021 Mar -Jun Buspar ADR at high dose, tapered 3 months 2021 Aug Wellbutrin 150mg for 5 days (ADR), then MIrtazapine 7.5mg for 7 days (ADR) Oct 22/21 - Direct switch ativan to clonazepam (don't do this) Tapered clonaz Oct/21 - Apr/23 - 0mg!
