If you read this topic, you will see that people do have the same withdrawal symptom -- muscle stiffness and pain. You will also see their suggestions for relieving this.

You might try whirlpool baths, massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, physical therapy, and doing gentle stretching exercises at home. For additional information about any of these, please use search in the Symptoms and Self-Care forum.

Okay thanks i will try some methods.

I have another question.

When i reinstated lexapro at 2 july i had tinnitus

I stopped lexapro after one and half month because the reinstatement didnt work and the tinnitus went away.

A few days ago i started getting tinnitus again in my left ear.

So the question is will i be considered fully recovered if the other symptoms went away but i was left with tinnitus and will deal with it in my life because i see it often doesnt go away for people ( even if the cause is not ad withdrawal )

Hey !

Can you answer my question about healing but still having tinnitus ?

Will i continue my life normally or is it still a risk that my body is sensitive ?

Because for some people the tinnitus doesnt go away so that mean they never heal ? Or its just something to ignore like any other cause of tinntius ( trauma , tmj..etc )

Many people suffer from tinnitus, even people who have never taken any type of drug.  It can be caused by different things.

I suffer from tinnitus.  It seems to be worse when I am stressed or tired (which is a stress).  It varies in intensity.  I've been off Pristiq for nearly 1 year.

You can learn to live with it.  Obviously the more you worry and think about it the more stressed you are so the worse the tinnitus would probably be.

Okay

I mean all my symtomps are improving then i got hit with tinnitus ( i had it when i started the drug but it went away ) now it went back out of nowhere when im off

So can i consider my self healed if i was left with only tinnitus or my system is still sensitised ?

Because for some it never go away so does this mean they never heal or its just something to ignore

You get what i mean ?

It's really hard to continue sometimes.

What is the purpose of all this torture ? I will mostly live with tinnitus if i healed from other symptoms.

Will my body regain normal sensitivity to alcohol and anything? If i will not live a normal life as 21 years old guy what is the reason of continuing ?

How long will i deal with the trauma even if i healed ?

Im really considering suicide these few days..

Hey it's has been so long since i came here, it was so bad but some symptoms got better ( not fully ) like gi issues and muscle stiffness but they still need another year or so.

I want to ask you about the fullness and pain in ear because i didn't find many stories about it. Will it go away too if you saw any similar stories ? Can i do something about it ?

Thanks ❤

Hey altostrata, all my symptoms began when i CTed lexapro (25 may 2022 ) and i tried to reinstate after a month and taper again but it just didn't ease my symptoms so i stopped and stayed off since then.

I saw a doctor but he couldn't see anything wrong so he told me it's maybe from the TMJ ( well i have muscle stiffness but i don't think it's the cause ) so he gave me some muscle relaxants which i don't want to take. Enough no more any pharma drug.

My other symptoms like ( neuropathy, eye pain, gi issues and fatigue ) are like 80% better after a year now so the worst are musscle stiffness and ear issues ( pain and fullness )

Hey, @Catina7

Thanks for your kind words, yeah it's so hard but we have to fight to get back to normal life because life always hold some beautiful things in the future.

All my life was hellish as i live in syria so death is not a new things to me.

Also a few months ago a deadly earthquake just happened in my city and thousands of people died if you saw the news, before that i had cholera too and uti and was diagnosed with varicocele ( all of this during wd ) so yeah life is not easy for me at all ! 🤷‍♂️

We often see people have tight jaw muscles or neck muscles in withdrawal, which may cause headaches and other problems. Please see

I have a question : do all people heal in waves-windows pattern ? I feel like it's more like a slow gradual way for me. I never feel a window that i feel so good.

Or maybe i'm still far from recovery ?

Hai Jack!  I sleep better. No more brain fog, no more cognitive symptoms. Can read, can go out. But keep having nasty waves. But much better then before. It’s a very slow recovery. But it is recovery. All the work on the brain give us symptoms. It’s healing. I am almost 3 years off. Please hold on Jack, you are NOT alone!🌹

Hi @DutchMaddy I am having lingering sleep issues since I stopped , cannot sleep past 4:00am , sleep is very broken ,unable to nap.

I had inner akathisia as well but it seems to faded away , I do still get inner vibrations and shakiness.

Has your sleep improved? Are you able to nap these?

I am very worried that my sleep problem will be permanent.

I sleep 7 hours a night now. I think it was gone after 2 years?  Don’t know exactly..

I slept sometimes for 1 hour a night!  Always broken. Sometimes wide awake after one hour of sleep. It’s all  good now. Once in a while I am awake for 2 hours..

it WILL Pass!!

What makes me kinda worried is that i reinstated after a month off ( last summer ) and i stayed on it for a month but my withdrawal didn't improve (it gave me dizziness too but that eent away )so i just stopped and since then continued to healing.

So is the failed reinstatement a bad indicator for screwing myself or anyways i'm healing ?

No, it means you are healing naturally.

You will heal Jack. There are people ( Angie peacock) who were over medicated like 18 medications and reinstating and getting benzo’s etc etc. They heal too. You’re nervus system knows what to do, but it takes time. Do not try to worry too much.

Do you know where i can find the most information about ADs Wd ? I mean the scientific reasons ( for example for my ear fullness and pain ). I think it caused some kind of eustachian tube dysfunction so the pressure is not equal in ear.

So is there any site or journal researching the scientific reason for these things ? Maybe i can find a solution for this symptom at least. I'm a med student by the way.
