Shows how much power the producers have.  It is often good when the creators get their own vessel.  How about Curb Your Enthusiasm as a step up from Seinfeld - Larry David is so unbelievably selfish and awkward it makes for such excruciating and funny viewing I can't watch it before bed!  The showdowns he had with Michael J Fox and John McEnroe really stood out.

My puddy tat has been really sick😿, but I took her to the vet and he fixed her up. She was put on intravenous antibiotics and some other stuff, and I’m putting probiotics in her food for a while. I’m amazed she hasn’t noticed that I’ve snuck the probiotics into the food, she eats it with gusto.

Hi Carmie

I am relieved to hear about your cat's recovery and happy to hear from reading your thread that you seem to be doing a bit better.

It's great that you and Hayduke are enjoying those shows.

Oaktree

Currently tapering Mirtazapine; previously tapered Cymbalta 30mg from June 2018-Feb 2019 and Seroquel 150mg to zero from Oct-December 2020.

Supplements for Hashimoto's disease and histamine issues relating to Mirtazapine:   Vitamin D3 1,000mcg, bio-identical HRT, Selenium, Quercetin, Lutein, Zinc, Vitamin C, Omega 3.

Mirtazapine Taper: 2021 16th Aug -  transitioned to liquid from tablet by dissolving two 15mg tablets into a solution of 15 ml water and 15 ml maple syrup on a starting dose of what I thought was 7.5ml; 17 Sept  - 7.31; 24 Sept  - 7.13; 15 Oct  - 6.95; 6 Nov  - 6.78; 21 Nov  - 6.61; 5 Dec  - 6.51;

2022 - 1 Jan 6.41; 1 Feb  - 6.1; 9 Mar -  5.8; 13 Mar - 5.9; 7 Apr - 5.8; 21 Apr - 5.7; 7 May - 5.63; 23 May - 5.55; 8 June 5.50;  (got COVID on 12th June so held); 1 July 5.4; 15 July 5.32; 8 Aug 5.2; 15 Aug 5.1; 22 Aug 5; 19 Sept 4.9; 2 Oct 4.81; 13 Oct 4.71; (COVID Booster 17/10/22 so longer hold ); 1 Nov 4.65; 3 Nov 4.60; 10 Nov 4.55; 13 Nov 4.50; 17 Nov 4.45; 20 Nov 4.40;  2 Dec 4.30mg; 9 Dec 4.20mg; I discovered that the volumetric container measured 33ml rather than 30ml in Dec 2022. Following helpful advice from moderator OnMyWay (see her  reply of the 5th March) discovered taper with the dilution was 3.8mg (calculated by dividing 30/33 so that every 1ml of solution has  0.90ml of Mirtazapine.  7.50 - 0.90= 6.6ml which was the starting dose on 16th Aug 2021 not 7.5ml).  I decided to keep using the solution as I didn't want more change to deal with than I had to.

2023 17 Mar 4.1(3.7); 26 Mar 4.0(3.6); 14 Apr 3.9(3.51)28 Apr 3.8(3.42); 6 Jun 3.7(3.33); 19 Jun 3.6(3.24); 30 Jun 3.5(3.1); 19 Jul 3.4(3.06); 27 Jul 3.35 (3.01); 29 Jul 3.3 (2.97); 4 Aug 3.25 (2.92); 7 Aug 3.2 (2.88); 21 Aug 3.1 (2.79); 14.09 3 (2.7); 29th Sept 2.9(2.61); 15 Oct 2.8(2.52); 30 Oct 10 2.7(2.43); 13 Nov 2.65(2.38); 20 Nov 2.6(2.34); 26 Nov 2.55(2.29); 10 Dec 2.5(2.25);

It can be quite funny, but everyone is so selfish and it really turned me off the show. Everyone is just out for themselves.

I so agree with this - I also find watching people being awkward very difficult. Mr Bean can be used as a torture device on me. The Office, as funny as it can get, is a nightmare to watch for me. Everybody Loves Raymond was really hard because I could see the other brother being practically abused. I like Friends, Mom, Golden Girls, Young Sheldon. The last one I love because the mom is so good with such an unusual child. She may not be as smart as the child but she is such a great mom.

I have recently discovered The Mentalist and quite enjoy it. You might like it @Carmie

Good morning @hayduke @Oaktree1 @Onmyway

I’m awake early, it’s just after 5am. Yes, it’s good when we find shows that we enjoy watching. There are shows I’ll watch despite having toxic characters in them, most shows have them. I’ve watched Gilmore Girls a million times, Emily is such a manipulator and you can see right her. She’s always trying to make others feel guilty so she can get her way. I love the quirkiness of the show though.

When I was watching Monk, I like how all the main characters care about him despite his OCD and all his quirks. His nurses are really good with him, as is the police captain and the lieutenant. When you’ve had toxic people in your life, you’re always looking out for those characters in shows and it’s refreshing when they don’t eventuate in the main characters. Watching shows is a study in human nature. I really like the friendship between Neal and Peter in White Collar too.

Hayduke, I haven’t seen Curb Your Enthusiasm as I’m not a fan of swearing and I think there’s heaps of swearing in that. You’re right about Seinfeld though, everyone was extremely selfish, it’s amazing how they all stayed friends as they all just seemed to care about themselves.

Oaktree, I’m no better. I still struggle to breathe, I’m just trying to do things I like to pick up my mood. I’m not giving up hope that I’ll go into remission one day. As we aren’t smack in the middle of flu season anymore I’ll be going on outings again with my husband and his carers here and there when I feel up to it. I wear a mask in the car and then enjoy the splendid outdoors.

Onmyway, I must check out Golden Girls again. Yeah, poor Robert in Everyone Loves Raymond. It was certainly emotional abuse that everyone put him through.

Well, I just fed my cat, my poor hungry little cat😹. Cats always make out like you never feed them. She’s hungry all day long. I put her probiotics in her food and she gobbled it up. She only has three probiotic capsules left to take, one tonight and the other two tomorrow.

Anyway, I think I might just close my eyes for a little while longer. I won’t be able to fall asleep again, but I don’t have the strength to start the day yet. Good ol’ CFS.

Sending big hugs🤗🧡

Dear Hayduke and Altostrata,

I have never really watched Northern Exposure, I think I may have seen an episode or so. Since you mentioned it this morning Hayduke I’ve watched three episodes. It’s great! I love it! I’m watching episode four now. It’s streaming on 7+ here in Australia. I’m going to watch the whole series now and might get it on DVD too. I always buy series I love on DVD.

Okie dokie, I’m going to do a gratitude list now.

1. Number one on my gratitude list is that my cat is well again. It’s so nice to see her comfortable.

2. I got a new show to watch, Northern Exposure😁. I still need to buy season four of Jeeves and Wooster, I haven’t seen those episodes. I think most of the series is on YouTube, but I love my DVDs.

3. It rained this morning, I love the glorious sound of rain.

4. Had a nice cup of bone broth, I find it very comforting. My sister is vegan, so no bone broth for her when she came over a few weekends ago.

5. I’ve really enjoyed my neighbourhood walks recently. I’m going down streets I haven’t been down before. I love exploring. Don’t have the strength to go for a walk today, but I did find enough strength to take out everyone’s garbage bins.

6. Got a few more towels and dishes delivered today.

7. Got a few tank tops delivered too, I wear them so much in the warm weather here and they go under everything too. I buy them in black.

8. I’m seeing my friends on Zoom tonight.

9. Okay, again, I’m grateful my puddy tat is better. She’s all curled up and asleep. So cute. I know pets don’t live forever, but when they’re alive it’s awful seeing them suffer. She was such a good girl at the vets, she didn’t even really struggle at all. She hates being picked up though, it took a little while for me to get her into the carrier. They cleaned her teeth as well while she was sedated, and I bought special food for her to help with her digestion.

10. I’m looking forward to watching some more of Northern Exposure now.

Dear @direstraits, thanks for popping over. I hope you’ve managed to get to the seaside lately. Yes, I’m happy my puddy tat is better. I know that pets only live so long, but while they’re alive it’s awful seeing them suffer. She’s so contented now and that makes me happy. I’m glad you have a cat too that makes you happy.

I’m into season two now of Northern Exposure. I’ve only ever seen one episode in the past, but Hayduke recommended the show yesterday, and then Alto said she loved it too. I’m enjoying it. I’ve always been a fan of quirky shows. I just realised that the guy who plays Dr Fleischman also plays Don Eppes in Numb3rs. I haven’t seen that whole show either, I must get it on DVD. I haven’t got season four of Jeeves and Wooster yet, so that’s my next purchase.

Anyway, time for a gratitude list:

1. Scary morning waking up, as usual, struggling to breathe, but it’s nice to see the sunshine and focus on something else☀️☀️I love sunshine and rain.

2. I’m grateful for hope. I’m hoping I’ll still go into remission one day, even though I’ve been in a flare for two years since the vaccine.

3. I’m grateful for tv series that are wonderful distractions.📺

4. I’m grateful for sparkling water, my favourite drink ever! 💧💧💧

5. I’m grateful for the breeze from my fan. 💨💨💨

6. I’m grateful for my comfy clothing. 👖🩳

7. I’m grateful I had the strength to take in everyone’s garbage bins too. 🗑🗑( there are no street garbage bin emoji’s 😃

8. I’m grateful for grocery delivery, I got lots of yummy berries🫐🍓

9. Also, got some more sweet potatoes. Love sweet potatoes, they are my carbs as I don’t eat grains or regular potatoes(nightshades) 🍠🍠🍠

10. Okay, going to watch some more of my show now🎞🎞

Sending hugs🤗🤗

Hello dear @Onmyway and @Fifree

Thank you so much for thinking of me. I just seem to be living a moment at a time with my health issues, they are severe, though I’m not giving up hope of going into remission one day.

I might just do a gratitude list for the day:

1. It rained today,it was glorious to hear the rain.

2. I was too sick to go out with my husband and his carer today, but on Monday we went to Southbank, which is near the river. I love being near water. There is also a lagoon there and lots of people were swimming, as it’s warm now. I can’t swim in chlorine because of my lungs. Southbank is a lovely place to chill though.

3. The Friday before that I joined my husband and another one of his carers at Sandgate, which is at the beach. It was glorious. The tide was high and it was splashing me when I sat on the footpath. I looove water.

4. Laughter is the best medicine. I had to laugh that Friday as my husband’s carer jogged with his wheelchair for quite a while, all the way to the jetty. I said: “You’re using my husband as gym equipment.”😂

5. I’m sooooooo grateful for everyone that has interacted with me on this site. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

6. I’m grateful for my friends. A couple of them wanted to catch up with me in the park around the corner from my place yesterday, but I was too sick. I’m grateful that they continue to want to catch up with me even when I need to cancel quite a bit due to health issues.

7. I’m grateful for books, I’m reading Courtiers by Valentine Low  at the moment, as well as The Myth Of Normal by Gabor Mate and The Mind Body Prescription by Dr John Sarno.

8. I’ve been journaling again. I’ve always been the kind of person that represses their anger. I know I have a lot of anger deep down that I’ve repressed from all of the things I’ve gone through. I’m not one who really shows anger, but I need to find ways to release it that are helpful, journaling helps. Dr Sarno’s books have been helpful. I know I have a lot of chronic illnesses now because I never dealt with these feelings. My autoimmune illness is permanent now, but I’m still trying my hardest to get it into remission. The CFS is definitely due to repressed anger. One day at a time does it.

9. . I love YouTube, you can get info on pretty much every subject.

10. My cat is doing well on her medication. She had megaoesphagus and was continually throwing up. She hasn’t thrown up once since the meds.

The food I got from the vet though made me sick as it had gluten in it and I touched it or petted my cat after she ate it and licked herself. They don’t have grain free food at the vets so I’ll get the grain free food I used to get her at the supermarket.

Sending hugs🤗🤗

Dear @Kostas

Thank you so much for your very kind words. How is life treating you over there in Greece? It’s 9am and I haven’t had the strength to get out of bed as yet. I did get up to feed my cat, she doesn’t leave me alone if I don’t feed her early 😸

My brain fog is so bad this morning, I was going to write a gratitude list. Maybe I’ll do another later on. I’ve got a few books here too that I want to read, but can only read a bit here and there because of my brain🤪

Hope you have a pleasant day🧡

Okay, time for a gratitude list:

1. I’ve been in bed pretty much for most of the day, I’m grateful I have a comfy bed.

2. I haven’t had the strength to cook anything, I’m grateful for foods that don’t need cooking. I only eat fruit, veggies, grass fed meat and seafood, so I usually have to cook as I make everything from scratch pretty much. I had some tinned fish and a little bit of coleslaw for lunch. I don’t eat breakfast.

I have to figure out what to have for dinner now. I just remembered I’ve got some cooked mince still. I might just throw some veggies into the microwave.

3. I used the tiny bit of strength I had for the dishes. The ones from yesterday were still sitting there too, as I just didn’t have the strength to do them. I haven’t dried them all yet, but I’m grateful they’re washed.

4. I’m grateful for a beautiful painting I bought recently of a mother, daughter and their dog at the seaside. They have lovely flowy dresses on and there are colourful beach huts.

5. I’m grateful that I have grain free crackers for my cat again, as I can touch them to give them to her without worrying I’ll get glutened again. The ones the vet gave me had gluten and I must have touched my mouth when my hands were contaminated with gluten and I got really sick. Petting my cat too would have put gluten on my hands, as she licks herself.

6. I’m grateful for water, I love drinking water.

7. I’m loving the glow of my Himalayan lamp.

8. I love stationery, paper and pens.

9. Been too brain dead to read my book today, but I’m grateful for books. I like books on paper.

10. I’m grateful for all of the kind people on this site.

The end! 😁

Aren’t you just lovely dear Kostas,

There are so many nice people on here and I appreciate you all. I’m a little brain dead, but I’ll try and do a gratitude list. I’ve been home all day and I haven’t had much strength, but I’ve been spending my day on the couch instead of my bed. I don’t really have much to say, but let’s see how my brain works 🤪

1. I had a lovely lunch of vegetables and a yummy bone broth. There’s a really yummy bone broth you can get here in Australia called Best Of The Bone. It’s concentrated and you just need a heaped teaspoon in a cup. It’s delicious and it is really comforting. Great too as it’s so easy to make, just add hot water. I’ve made my own bone broth in the past, but it’s so much hassle compared with putting a teaspoon in a cup🥄️. It’s very nutritious.

2. I’m happy that my cat isn’t vomiting anymore and her medication is helping.

3. Been watching YouTube videos on the TV this morning. Didn’t have the brain power to read my books. Love YouTube.

4. I’m grateful for glasses, I need them for distance and reading. I hate bifocals, so I have seperate glasses. The poor people that had to deal with their eye sight before glasses were invented.

5. Photos. I love taking photos. So handy now having cameras on one’s phones.

6. Reading. How amazing is it that we can read and write. Something we really don’t want to take for granted.

7. I’m grateful for all my beautiful friends.

8. Grateful that we have a variety in weather. Love the sun and the rain.

9. Love animals. I can hear birds squawking outside at the moment. My cat is chilling on the floor.

10. Hope. I’m grateful for hope. I’m hoping one day my autoimmunity will go into remission. I know I’ll have it for life, but it would be nice to go into remission here and there.

Thank you for this gratitude list @Carmie. It was meditative for me. We don't appreciate our sight and animals and food as often as we should. Thanks for the reminder.

I also hope that you get some respite from the autoimmunity.

Have I already pushed the MBSR course on you? It is supposed to help. Not sure if you are into that kind of stuff. Apologies if I am repeating myself.

Hi Carmie

Thanks very much for posting on my thread.  My gratitude list is that I am grateful that there are occasionally people like yourself in the world.  I feel so sad when I read about your ongoing health problems.  I find it extraordinary that you can write a gratitude list and can find things to be grateful for.  When I look at all the people connecting to you here on the site and all the friends you have I feel angry that your health is not better than it is.  On the plus side  you are doing everything that you can to help yourself and you have hope and you have a lot of people who love you and accept you in your life.   That makes me feel really good because you deserve that in spades.

Thank you so much for popping around dear @Onmyway @Oaktree1, My brain has left the building now, after reading a few threads on here. Good ol’ CFS brain fog. I’ll write a little more and do a gratitude list when my brain comes back down to earth🌏😄. I’ve got a few books here I want to read too, but I’m not getting very far at the moment🤪. Maybe my brain will come back later in the day.

Okay, time for another gratitude list, let’s see how I go:

1. I’m lying on my bed at the moment, but I’ve had the strength to have a shower and get dressed. One feels nice and fresh after a shower💦💦💦💦

2. My cat is chilling with me on the bed, she’s sitting in quite an awkward position and cleaning herself. Cats are funny. Who doesn’t love watching cat videos. They all have such weird quirks.

3. I think I’m going to chill and read a bit of one of my books if my brain lets me📚📚. I love books!

4. I haven’t really been up to much, not well enough, but I’m going to try and continue to see what else I’m grateful for. Hmmmm🤔 Let’s see. Oh, yes, I’m super excited that all my dishes are done 🎉 Next massive household chore on the list is the washing.

I’ve got plenty of clothes, tea towels, towels, sheets etc. I’m not running out of anything, but my washing pile is big. Not long ago I stocked up on all the things that I use on a daily basis and now I don’t run out if I’m too sick to keep on top of the washing.

I just need to stock up on a few more tank tops, as I wear them all the time. They’re great under other tops and cardigans etc. I love boho crochet cardigans, I’ve got heaps of them. Recently I got two really long ones, one in rust and one in a really lovely shade of green.

5. I’m going to get another two pairs of glasses within the next week. I already had an eye test done a couple of months ago. I was going to go today, but don’t have the strength.

6. I had a nice cup of tea this morning, I rarely drink tea with caffeine in it, but occasionally I love one. If I’m at an outdoor cafe I usually get English Breakfast. This morning I had a cup of English Breakfast tea at home,  and now I’m having a cup of Rooibos.

Speaking of tea, when my sister dyed my hair she used tea to activate the hair dye. It was henna. Tea comes in so handy😁

7…… I was just interrupted by my husband’s doctor. I wanted to chat to her about his health. He was there as well, I can’t go in there due to the risk of catching a virus. I’m grateful that he’s so well taken care of where he lives.

It’s great I was able to speak to the doctor over the phone ☎️too. I chat to the nurses on the phone and email them, but this is the first time in ages I’ve spoken to his doctor, I just wanted to get her input. She’s lovely, she’s got this little chihuahua she takes everywhere🐶

8. I’m enjoying a little breeze from my fan, it’s not too hot today.

9. Still thinking……. Come on brain, what else am I grateful for?…….Oh, yes, I forgot to mention I dropped from 3.30mg to 3.25mg a few days ago. I still have to put it into my signature.

10. I’m just grateful I have a day of life, despite the fact I’m so very sick. I’m taking an hour at a time, that’s all any of us can do. I have to be hopeful there will be some days that are better than others.

Okie dokie, I did it!!!!

Thanks for your kind words Phoenixmama,

I hope you’re coping as best you can today. I have CFS so my body dictates what I can do, but I try and not push myself too much. If I do too much I can end up in bed for a week or longer not being able to move at all. I’ve kind of learnt a baseline of sorts, but even within this baseline I still have really bad days where I’m glued to my bed.

You said you were stressing about what you should do, haven’t done etc. That can be a trauma response, never feeling good enough, always having to prove yourself, always feeling you have to rush from one thing to the next. It happens too when we are trying to avoid our emotions and are trying to keep as busy as possible so we don’t have to confront them.

Okie, dokie, I think I might try and do another gratitude list now:

1. It’s raining at the moment, love the sound of rain💦💦💦💦

2. I’m almost on the verge of tears as I struggle to breathe every day. My cat might actually outlive me, who knows?

I’m grateful for FasterEft. I’ve been in tears most days this week, but I’ve either journaled or done FasterEft. Journaling is good as it gets stuff out of my head and onto paper, it gives me insight on certain things that I don’t get if my brain is constantly ruminating. FasterEft then dissolves whatever the painful feelings are.

I like tapping along with the Pam Wright videos on YouTube. I have a friend who’s a practitioner, but I haven’t had any treatments lately. She doesn’t charge me. Maybe I’ll get some treatments with her too. Her and her husband are really close friends of mine. Her poor husband, who I’ve known for forty years, has Parkinson’s now.

3. I’m sooooo grateful for all of my friends!! One just messaged to check in with me. They are so kind.

4. I went to the optometrist and tried on glasses today. Going to get two new reading glasses.

5. I bought some yummy plantain chips, they’re just plantains and healthy oil ( the second time I just tried to write plantains autocorrect tried to change it to plain gains 🤔😀).

6. I’ve just been knitting, it’s soothing. 🧶

7. I got another book in the mail📚. Love books! There are so many books I want to read, but my brain fog only lets me read a little at a time. I’m grateful for books though.

8. Photos. I love taking photos📸📸📸📸📸

9. Despite the teeny amount of energy I have today I’m still on top of my dishes. I’m always so excited when my dishes are done 🎉🎉 It can be quite a feat when you’re chronically ill.

10. I smashed a glass as I went to grab it off the coffee table today, I was as calm as anything though when it happened. I was so unperturbed. I guess my nervous system isn’t too bad today. My cat ran for its life though😹. I’m grateful for the times I don’t sweat the small stuff.

Just going to do a quick gratitude list. Come on brain, you can do this!

1. I just did my grocery shopping online, so handy having food delivered at home.🛒

2. I ordered lots of veggies again, that’s what I mainly eat. I haven’t eaten fruit for quite a few days as I haven’t felt like anything sweet. I ordered some fruit this time though: frozen blueberries 🫐and some pawpaw😋

3. Looking forward to making a frozen blueberry smoothie tomorrow🥤 I just use the frozen berries and cold water. If I make it thick it’s like having a dessert. The only sweet thing I eat is fruit🍒🍓🍎🍇

4. I’m also getting some more of my Portuguese sardines🐟. Getting in my omega 3’s. I’ve got fish oil capsules, but I keep forgetting to take them with all my other supplements as they’re in the fridge and my brain is 🤪. I remember here and there, but not every day.

5. I received a new colouring in book in the mail, good ol’ eBay 📚

6. Well, I haven’t been up to anything much, so my brain is working hard to think about what to write….. Oh, yes, a lovely friend left me something in my letterbox😍

7. Had a nice chat with another friend📱She’s moved to a new place, she’s been there three weeks.

8. I’ve got nice clean sheets on my bed🛌

9. I’m looking forward to my sparkling water tomorrow, love sparkling water. I should get one of those soda streams ( autocorrect just tried to change soda to sofa🛋😁) and make my own when I run out.

10. It’s 8.30pm, I’ll see if my brain will let me read a bit before bed, love reading.

It's good to put it down on "paper" like that. I try to do a gratitude list in my mind every week. Going through the hell these of these drugs and the tapering It's easy for me to lose sight of the simple things that are good.

I appreciate your list, it helps me get back to looking at the things I need to be thankful for. It's not all doom and gloom. Sometimes I get stuck in a wave and don't see the window when it's right in front of me. And you can't beat nice clean sheets,  either!

Hi Carmie. Thanks for popping over to my thread and sending me some encouragement and positivity. It's also always lovely to read your gratitude lists. I'm with you on the clean sheets too! Mine are currently in the dryer (I have solar power and only use my dryer during the day) and I'm looking forward to nice crisp sheets tonight too.

It looks like your taper is going forward well even if the CFS is giving you a lot of grief still. Hope it eases up soon.

I hope you feel better soon! I'm in CFS territory with some post-viral fatigue from glandular fever and it's brutal. I thought I knew brain fog from meds and dissociation, but this is next level!! Struggling to get my GP to take me seriously with it and give me more advice than "take a multivitamin."

Dear @Fifree @littlebird @Rosetta Thanks for popping over, how are you all doing today?

Fifree, yes, we have been getting a little rain down here, sunny days and rainy days☀️☀️🌧. I love both.

Littlebird, you’re right about CFS brain fog being next level. It’s like we are on another planet all the time, everything seems surreal.

Rosetta, glad you like pawpaw(papaya) too. Why can’t you eat it without lime juice? They’re yummy, aren’t they?

@Mittenraised It’s nice to hear that you think about things you’re grateful for too. Good to see your lists too littlebird.

Okay, time for a gratitude list. I’ve been too sick so I haven’t been up to anything much, but let’s see how I go:

1. Love my weighted blanket, I’ve been using one for years. It’s comforting.

2. I had enough strength to walk to the vets and get my cat her medication. She’s been on it for a while now and will probably be on it for life, but it’s great she’s not vomiting anymore.

I’m grateful she’s stopped meowing after I fed her early this morning. The annoying cat wanted food before 5am😺

3. I’m grateful I got my script for calcitriol ( prescription vitamin D) while I was already out and going to the vet, I don’t have to worry about that for a few months now.  I also got some yummy concentrated bone broth, plantain chips and coconut aminos.

I think I might have to go into isolation again, as we are going into a Covid wave again. It’s supposed to be at its peak mid December, but who knows. A friend just messaged me and said she has Covid, and other people I know do too. It might not be a big deal to a lot of people, but a common cold is risky for me with my lungs the way they are.

4. I ordered some more low dose naltrexone from the compounding chemist, that should keep me going for a few more months. They will send it. Good ol’ home delivery!

5. I managed to organise a little bit of paperwork yesterday. I’ve got some important paperwork I really need to get done today. I’m such a procrastinator when it comes to paperwork. I’m always grateful when I get some done.

6. I love the glow of my Himalayan salt lamps.

7. I love plants, I have real plants, but I also have a million artificial ones. The artificial ones look great and you don’t have to water them.😁

8. I’m grateful for my friends always checking in on me. Love my friends.

9. I’m grateful I’ve got a couple of vegetable peelers again. I don’t know what happened to the other two. Maybe they got accidentally thrown out with the peels, who knows? My brain is always in lala land. It’s a nuisance peeling things with a knife, so much better with peelers.

10. I’m grateful for the internet and learning new things. I’m grateful for books.

Right there with you, can't afford to get it with my health issues and immune system the way it is. It's loneseome, especially seeing everyone and their mama eating indoors and whatnot. I've been keeping up on the research and these new variants are beasts, glad we're playing it safe. Still, not easy for mental health!! I miss the days of 2020 when people were avoiding the plague like the plague. 🤣

Hi there littlebird, looks like we are in the same boat. We’re in our eighth Covid wave here, and I have to be so careful not to even catch a cold. It makes life limited. I’m going to do another gratitude list, here goes:

1. Even though my life is limited due to health problems, I’m grateful that I’m not someone who gets bored. I have a creative mind and I’m always finding things to do.

2. I caught up with a friend at the park around the corner from my place a couple of days. I can go outdoors locally and social distance.

3. I’ve almost finished reading a book I started a while ago: Courtiers, by Valentine Low. My brain is in lala land most of the time, so I can only read a bit at a time.

4. One of my husband’s carers brought my husband around a few days ago, we just caught up downstairs.

5. The carers are lovely. This one asked me if I needed anything while they were out and about. They weren’t too far from the fish market so they got me some prawns and squid.

6. I really haven’t been up to much now that I can’t go anywhere, except for local walks. I’m grateful I have parks near me, and a creek out the back.

7. I’m grateful I have enough of my meds to last a couple of years.

8. Actually, I’ve only got a few pages of my book to go, maybe my brain will let me finish it this evening. It’s always a major accomplishment when I finish a book, with a brain like mine. I looooove reading though.

9. I have plenty of food, I just had dinner and I’m full.

10. It’s 6.45pm and my alarm just went off. I set it so I don’t forget my meds and take them at the same time every day. I’m grateful for the alarm. I find it doesn’t really matter what time I take the Seroquel in the evening. The only problem is because my brain is 🤪 there have been a few times where I couldn’t remember if I’d taken it or not, thus the alarm.

Another gratitude list down.

Gratitude list time

1. Was feeling really low today, so I did quite a bit of FasterEft to try and release some of my emotions. Tears were shed😢

2. After that I thought I’d journal, and boy go boy, did I journal. I ended up filling up twelve A4 pages📝📝📝📝📝📝📝📝📝📝📝📝Once I started I couldn’t stop. I think I could have kept going, but my brain needed a break. I’ll do some more tomorrow. I just scribble and write and write and write. You wouldn’t be able to read it afterwards. My aim is to just write down exactly what comes into my head, no censoring. Then I rip it up afterwards and throw it away. I’ve got plenty of writing pads.

3. I just had some yummy raspberries and I put some coconut yoghurt over them🥥

4. I did some colouring in yesterday, as that doesn’t take much brain power. I did two pages and started a third🖍🖍🖍

5. I haven’t had the strength to go for walks, but I’m grateful for when I am able to get out and look at trees and nature. Maybe tomorrow 🌳🌸

6. Started watching Death In Paradise again, it’s one of my favourite shows. All the different detectives ‍are great, and the scenery is gorgeous 🌊☀️🌴

7. Received some more pens, I go through them like water. I like the Pigma Micron pens, though I use others as well✍️

8. A friend just sent me a lovely photo from a past outing we had📸

9. I love fun little quotes etc my friends send me. I haven’t had coffee for three decades, but I like a nice cup of English Breakfast tea here and there. My friend who messaged me doesn’t drink coffee either. She sent me a quote which said: “ There are fourteen muscles activated when you drink a cup of coffee. Fitness is my passion.” She said she better start drinking coffee because she wants to get fit🧗🏻‍♀️😃

10. I love music that makes me smile. I don’t know who has seen the song Sometimes I’m Alone, by The Kiffness. It’s had millions of views. He gets the sound of a cat and then puts his music to it. He’s so talented. That song makes me smile so much, it’s become a worldwide hit🐈🎤. Okay, now that I’ve mentioned it, I won’t be able to get it out of my head again:

” Sometimes I’m alone, sometimes I’m not, Sometimes I’m alone. Hello..”😹😹😹😹

……. Well, I ended up feeling the need to do some more journaling today, so out came my pen and paper again. I did another six A4 pages of journaling, but it’s evening now and that’s enough for today. I did twelve this morning and another six now, so 18 all up. Wow! It was certainly a day of writing for me📝😌 Well done brain for being able to do that🧠👏

The journaling I did today was called rage journaling. You write down things you’re angry about from early childhood to now. No censoring. I never really show anger towards anyone, but I’ve got so much repressed anger and it’s good to get it out. I think I’ll be doing more rage ( okay, autocorrect just tried to change rage to orange🍊😆) journaling. Time to let some of that anger come into the fore in a healthy and productive way😡😜. It’s amazing how much stuff comes up that’s not in your conscious mind, but that’s deep down there hiding in your brain, and ultimately making us sick. I feel lighter after I’ve done the journaling.

With big issues, I then tap the emotions away with FasterEft. I follow along with the Pam Wright videos, though I can just do it by myself. Sometimes, it’s getting the motivation though.

I’ve woken up at night about four times, this week, or so, with nerve pain, and today I’ve had nerve activity down my spine and other places. I’m not sure if it’s from withdrawals or something else as I have autoimmune issues. So when I woke up this morning with more health issues, on top of already struggling severely with my health, I was on a real downer. After tapping away the sadness, and then journaling the anger, I felt more contented. One hour at a time does it

Anyway, I might go and eat something now and then it’s beddy byes, I already took my meds. I’ll take my LDN now too. The LDN gives me such vivid dreams, at least I know I’m getting good REM sleep.

Good night from Australia 🧡

My daughter sent me that awhile ago and I love it. I can relate as I am sure you can. This withdrawal is bad enough without covid. So sometimes I am alone....

Love Death in Paradise as well...the shack on the beach is so me .

I use Stash decaf teas, Vanilla Chai, Earl Grey, Chai. They really have helped fill the coffee hole.

You are such an inspiration to me. Thank you Carmie. ♥️
