Been at 2.0mg for 2 weeks and will stay til after Christmas, then resume taper. Having so many mental symptoms. Trying to renew my thought process. MANNNN is it sooo hard. Trying to get out and walk it off. Had a session with The Lovely Grinds, Michael Priebe. I really like his spiritual outlook. I hope you all are well and staying away from the flu and covid. My pharmacy switched the company that my script was being made from. Will this cause an uptick in symptoms? I was told that the company previously used stopped making it. So now I can only get it from a new pharma company. Will the difference in brands make that big of a deal? I'm worried 😟 Also....do we continue to heal during holding periods? I love you all and want you to know that I pray daily for all of us. Keep persevering, and remember this will pass, your are strong, and we are getting better and better ♥️ God is in this story, he is in the details, he is in the highs and lows, the one who knows and goes before you. I am resuming my taper tomorrow morning. I held for 4 weeks over the holidays. I am doing the Brassmonkeyslide and will taper 2.5% a week. Wish me luck and include me in your prayers, please. I figured that being I feel like doodoo while holding, I miles well feel like crap while tapering. Looking forward to getting below 1mg this year and hopefully taking the leap. I can't seem to drop below 73 mg and I started at 75 last May. I, too, want to be the Nana I used to be to my beloved grandchildren, but the body and mind just won't let me. Still so sick. Always wake up after 3-4 hours in the early morning despite with a good diet, good sleep hygience and stress management. No major issue an offensive remark triggered my anger. Anger was intense and lasted unusually long. End of Jan-Feb '22: Doctor reinstated me with Cymbalta (30mg) only on 29 Jan '22. However; without Olanzapine (2.5mg), it caused poor sleep; End of Feb-Jun '22: after too much poor sleep, doctor replaced Cymbalta (30 mg) with Remeron (15 mg); Jul '22: attempted to tapper off slowly by 10% of last dose. It resulted in weird dreams and poor sleep; Aug-17 Nov '22: Resumed exactly 15 mg. My sleep restorerd and no more weird dreams; 17 Nov-11 Dec '22: Started to wake up after 2-4 hours of sleep for unknown reason; 12 Dec '22-May 23: 3-6 hous of sleep, partly due to work stress; Jun-Aug '23: 3.5 to 4.5 hours of sleep; Sep '23-present: take mirtazapine in morning and it resolves my insomnia. Also...I am down to 10mg of Omeprazol. Can I abruptly stop it now? Last taper of Omeprazol was August 2022. I started at 40 mg at the beginning of my taper in December 2022. I do not suffer from acid reflux anymore because I changed my eating habits and lost 65 lbs. Just ready to be done with it. The hour difference in the time change probably won't affect your symptom pattern. Suggest you go off 10mg omeprazole with straight 25% decreases. This is not medical advice. Rusdan Posted April 20, 2023 Share Posted April 20, 2023 Thanks @Chlo. I tapered to 0.49 mg liquid fluoxetine, a 10% taper from previous dose, nearly 3 weeks ago after a hold of nearly 2 months. Perhaps in consequence of that, the DR symptom of disconnection and fogginess has been more aggravated and uncomfortable. I've also experienced insomnia--waking up between 4 and 5 am and not sleeping much or at all after that. On the other hand, symptoms of anxiety/distress have lessened over the past year or more. I have had some sessions with an excellent "tapering coach" to help me manage. It's ironic, isn't it, that the lower our dose the longer we may have to hold to remain close to stable (which in my case does not mean symptom free). I'm taking about half a thimble full of diluted fluoxetine every day, but I have no intention to go to zero any time soon. 1987-1997 Tricyclic AD, Wellbutrin, Fluoxetine, Lithium, Ritalin Fluoxetine 1997-2014, 2015, 10-40 mg. Bupropion 2013-14, 4 mos; Lexapro 2014; Cymbalta 2014. Gabapentin 2014; Mirtazapene 2014. Buspirone 2015. I still can't accept the wd whether its wd normal or a bad wave. i guess the symptom i deal with the worst is the mental part. If you dont mind me asking, do you ever have thoughts or a memory that causes you a panic attack/extreme anxiety? It's like...a thought comes to mind or even most times I don't know where it comes from and all the sudden I get either chills or a heated sensation up my back and the it's fear and doom feeling for about 10 minutes. I HATE IT and haven't figured out how to deal with it yet in my year and half if tapering. I do know though that it doesn't last longer than 10 minutes and it does pass. Also...do u experience jaw clenching through the day? My taper rate has changed to a .4 drop a week. I have found myself holding for 2 weeks after each drop. I will conquer the Mirtazapine after the Lexapro is done. Enough about me...how are you doing with your taper? I see you are below the 2's as well. I am so grateful to have you as my mentor and checking in on me. Are you able to get out and about with your family and friends? Are they understanding and supportive? My children say they understand, but they still have yet to watch videos or read literature on my wd. So...I just seek God and have faith in him. He has brought me this far and will continue til he comes back and declares heaven on earth again. Today has been a woozy that's for sure. Holding at 1.32mg due to more grief in my life. I dear friend of mine was killed in an accident. There's not a day that goes by that I don't miss my husband, dad, and furr baby. I'd have to say the hardest part of wd is the mind and trying to keep my thoughts from taking me down the wrong direction. Still having panic attacks....I pray they will cease once I'm off the Lexapro. I feel I could deal with the wd so much easier if I didn't suffer from the attacks. You are doing amazing and especially with dealing with all life has added! 1 .025 Xanax 3 x daily Start date 10-13-2013 through 8-13-2014. Started tapering 6-2014 to 8-2014. Some small discomfort. 25 mg Zoloft - Start date 5-1-2014. 50mg. 6-2014. through 7-14-2014 . Started tapering 7-14-2014, stopped tapering 10-2014. I did 1/4 of the dose a month. small discomfort. These next 3 were prescribed when I made some seriously bad choices with my thyroid medication. Was in ER twice for possible heart attack. INTENSE anxiety, panic, fear. Lost 30 pounds in 2 weeks. Thyroid levels bounced to extremes for 8 months. Dr. prescribed Zoloft 50mg 9-2105. After 2 doses had a bad reaction passed out in my bedroom. Also prescribed Xanax .025 at the same time. 3 times daily, 4 if needed. Was only on it about 2 weeks. Was not working. Trip ER they gave me an Ativan IV and it worked and lasted. switched to Ativan. 9-24-2016. 1.5 mg Ativan - .5 mg three x daily -start date 9/24/16. Attempted taper start 12-16-2016. Was shaving Pills and alternating tapering AM, PM and midday dose weekly. Buspar .5mg -2.5mg. am and 2. 5mg. pm start date 9-26-2016 . Lexapro .10mg start date - 10-26-2016. Found SA and began 10/14/2017 tapering .001 by weight of pill every 4 days Held longer if there were was WD. Was very sensitive to Ativan. 3-15-2018 Off midday dose - 7-16-2018 Off PM dose - OFF ATIVAN! 11-17-2018 10 mg. Lexapro. PM - 5 mg start date 10/11/2016 increased to 10 mg 2/2/17. 1-1-2019 Began tapering Lexapro. .001 gm every 4 days. Held longer if there was WD. Last doses some I held a month. OFF LEXAPRO! 2-21 2021 5 mg. Buspar divided into two, 2.5 mg doses AM and PM- Start date 9/26/2016 Cold turkey on Dr. direction, AM and Pm doses. Reinstated 9-22-16. Began Buspar taper 1-29-23, .001 mg by weight of pills. N.P. Desiccated Thyroid. 1-2023 Labs okay but not where I feel best. 60 mg. daily now but adding 15 mg. more twice weekly for a few months then check. Bioidentical hormones. Anxiety, tears, and air hunger get strong from 10:30a.m.-5p.m. Ease up around 6p.m.ish I try to keep my thoughts from spiraling with scripture, taking walks, being in sunshine, family time, take a drive. It's so hard for me to just relax...I cannot take naps. When I'm sitting still my mind is racing. Will the naps and relaxation come back after getting off the Lexapro? Yes ma'am, per our previous conversations in the past, the adverse reaction is exactly what is happening. I have not stopped my Lexapro tapering, however, I am following the Brassmonkey 10% taper. Going on my 4th reduction and then holding for 2 weeks. I will be going on vacation with my family July 10th...hoping my symptoms will be less intense. From the beginning we discussed that my 21 year Celexa use stopped working after my Long covid. So I'm having wd from the Celexa cold turkey. And then having adverse reaction from the Lexapro that the doctor put me in place of Celexa.
