Moderator Frogie Posted January 27, 2022 Moderator Share Posted January 27, 2022 @Chlo If your crying is not related to your recent taper which is a normal wd symptom, I would try journaling sometimes that helps. Journalling - Therapeutic Writing & Health Benefits I even find that coloring or doodling calms me also. PREVIOUS medications and discontinuations: Have been on medications since 1996. Valium, Gabapentin, Lamictal, Prilosec and Zantac from 2000 to 2015 with a fast taper by a psychiatrist. Liquid Lexapro Nov, 2016 to 31-March, 2019 Lexapro free!!! (total Lexapro taper was 4 years-started with pill form) ---CURRENT MEDICATIONS:Supplements:Milk Thistle, Metamucil, Magnesium Citrate, Vitamin D3, Levothyroxine 25mcg, Vitamin C, Krill oil. Xanax 1mg 3x day June, 2000 to 19-September, 2020 Went from .150 grams (average weight of 1 Xanax) 3x day to .003 grams 3x day. April 1, 2021 went back on 1mg a day. Started tapering May 19, 2023. July 28, 2023-approximately .87mg. Dr. fast tapered me at the end and realized he messed up. Prescribe it again and I am doing "slower than a turtle" taper. 19-September, 2020 Xanax free!!! Chlo
@Altostrata it seems like after this taper to 4.5ml I have been feeling worse, but it's only been 3 days. Do the symptoms usually fade out after 3 days? Today I had a very scary frightening feeling come over me with a panic attack. I also have frontal lobe pain, pressure, and the chills. Moderator Frogie Posted January 28, 2022 Moderator Share Posted January 28, 2022 @Chlo It's cortisol spikes in the morning. That is normal for everyone. Every body has cortisol spikes even when you aren't on these medications, you just don't feel them like you do now because your so sensitized. I had the exact symptoms as you when I was tapering Lexapro, the muscle aches, nausea, being cold. Once it got out of my system I started feeling better. Not overnight, but slowly I did. Waking with panic or anxiety -- managing the morning cortisol spike PREVIOUS medications and discontinuations: Have been on medications since 1996. Moderator Frogie Posted January 28, 2022 Moderator Share Posted January 28, 2022 @Chlo Start by walking up and down the hall in your house. That's exercise. Take a short walk around the block, or up and down a couple houses on your street starting out. I started out walking to the corner and back, then graduated to around the block. I now have a fitbit to make me walk. It buzzes on my wrist until I walk around the house each hour. I never get in 10,000 steps like you are supposed to, but I get 1,500 to 2,000 just walking around my house. Just go slow. 1 PREVIOUS medications and discontinuations: Have been on medications since 1996. Bestill
@Chlo I have the yawning and like it’s hard to take a deep breath. I find it gets worse when I taper. I try to relax my body as much as possible and sometimes laying on my tummy helps. I know it’s hard right now and perhaps listening to some healing meditation music might help. There is a ton of stuff on YouTube. I hope the Mirtazapine will help you sleep. I try to relax my body as much as possible and sometimes laying on my tummy helps. I know it’s hard right now and perhaps listening to some healing meditation music might help. There is a ton of stuff on YouTube. I hope the Mirtazapine will help you sleep. I will try laying on my tummy and listening to my healing meditation. And yes, the Mirtazapine does help me sleep, it's just through the day that gets me down. Thank you sweetheart for your encouraging words. Hugs!! Administrator Altostrata Posted January 29, 2022 Administrator Share Posted January 29, 2022 It's best to stay away from the clonazepam.
