At a significantly lower dose than was initially prescribed....my last reduction of dexamphetamine was back on 19th December 2017, I reduced it by 1.25mg (afternoon dose - rational was to possibly help sleep) after I had a severe muscular "seizure" incident and suspected Serotonin Toxicity.....I continued to suffer SS symptoms but also suffered what appeared to be dexamphetamine w/d... Anxiety rising, ruminating thoughts..attempted distraction, breathing ect 9am diarrhoea, back to bed...temperature regulation issues..hot and sweaty 10am Anxiety and nausea keeps increasing..panic setting in...irrational fear 11am Anxiety is terror now, feels I have lost control, nausea ramping up. Foetal position in bed clutching my head. Vertigo even though I'm horizontal. Burning skin. Crying starts. Haven't been able to cry for at least 2 weeks even though I have wanted to. So this was a welcome release. 11:30am - 12:00 dry wretching, vomiting. Completely drained of the last drop of the little energy I had left. Muscular pain dissoves into muscular weakness. Remain on the bathroom floor without the strength to move. Back to bed. More crying. Then feeling dead inside. SI. No plans. Anxiety decreasing a little. 12:30pm. Have been trying to keep hydrated with water. Dizziness and vertigo. BP ok. 135/80. PR 75 1:00pm medication (poison) clonazepam 0.125mg, dexamphetamine 3.75mg 1:30 - 5pm dead feeling continues. Lost hope. Spend my time in bed, reading SA, trying to find hope. Slowly improving. 6pm husband comes home from work...he says..."how are you feeling"...I start sobbing again 8pm Had a simple ham and tomato sandwich...nausea has decrease significantly 9pm Medication clonazepam 0.125mg 10pm beyond exhausted but have trouble falling asleep. Think I fell asleep at about 1am and woke at 8am. 7 hours is very good for me! I suggest you stop tapering anything else and start tapering both dexamphetamine doses by 10%. Just lowering it a little may stop the nausea, loose stools, etc. Keep notes, please. You can taper by 5% if you wish. Depending on your reaction, we may wish to make small reductions a little faster. Dexamphetamine and Prozac is not a good combination. August 17 Venlafaxine 1 week - Psychosis August-17 to December 17 Commited to Hospital 4 1/2 months Drugs administered include (had to look this up there because it was a blur no exact dates noted in my release notes): Olanzapine, Lorazepam, Sertraline, Escilatropram Mirtazapine, Lamotrigine, Venlafaxine (again!?) 2018 Venlafaxine/Effexor 225mg ; Mirtazapine/Remeron 7.5mg; Propranolol 80mg; Lamotrigine/Lamictal 200mg Lamictal was tapered very quickly Dec/Jan 2018 with no strong side effects Began Effexor tapering Jan 2018 Came down from 225 to 75 within a month TOO FAST!! Reinstated with just over 75. Mirtazapine reduced to 7.5 for sleep Current: Venlafaxine 80mg; Mirtazapine 7.5mg; Pipamperone 20mg Link to comment

If anyone can be helped, it will be you. 2001 Remeron , Celexa, prozac a week on lithium. 2014 went off effexor and trazadone in 3 weeks. 2014 zoloft (hyper reaction) put on effexor 75 mg. Was stable until 2017 2017 Trazadone 50 mg (June) Effexor to 113 mg (2 weeks) Effexor 150 mg for a month . Took 75 mg until November. . Lithium 10 days, Lamactil 10 day aug-nov15 ativan October : Prozac bridge to get off 75 mg of effexor Used 10 mg of prozac. Stopped prozac 3 wk Dec 6, 7 Upped trazadone from 50 to 100 mg Did it for 3 days Stopped it Dec 7 , Dec 8 Took prozac again 0.1 , 0.1, 0.6 stopped it Dec 11 and Dec 12 upped it to 100 again Dec 15 , 16,17 went back to 50 mg of trazadone December 18 Began 3 beads of effexor Dec 25 began 5 beads of effexor take 10 mg of omneprazole daily Link to comment

Now I can’t. 2001 Remeron , Celexa, prozac a week on lithium. 2014 went off effexor and trazadone in 3 weeks. 2014 zoloft (hyper reaction) put on effexor 75 mg. Was stable until 2017 2017 Trazadone 50 mg (June) Effexor to 113 mg (2 weeks) Effexor 150 mg for a month . Took 75 mg until November. . Lithium 10 days, Lamactil 10 day aug-nov15 ativan October : Prozac bridge to get off 75 mg of effexor Used 10 mg of prozac. Stopped prozac 3 wk Dec 6, 7 Upped trazadone from 50 to 100 mg Did it for 3 days Stopped it Dec 7 , Dec 8 Took prozac again 0.1 , 0.1, 0.6 stopped it Dec 11 and Dec 12 upped it to 100 again Dec 15 , 16,17 went back to 50 mg of trazadone December 18 Began 3 beads of effexor Dec 25 began 5 beads of effexor take 10 mg of omneprazole daily Link to comment

For the past 4 months I have been slowly changing my mindset about my "mental illnesses". This is how I see it....the medications available to treat depression may help in the short term. There is a component of the placebo effect and some kind of chemical change depending on the drug, individual, dose, environment and so on. This chemical change may help with mood but will most probably come with undesired side effects. A doctor who prescribes a AD has very little knowledge about the drug (it is not available - too many unknowns) therefore there is a hope that it "might work"...if not they will prescribe another...and so on. In my case the "so on" continued until I was labeled with "treatment resistant depression"...gee, that's a great thing to tell someone who's depressed! What a stupid diagnosis! Anyway, i don't know what the answers are...too many theories in my head! Big Hugs. I am now deeply depressed in a way I never have been before and it is being caused by the treatment itself. Fast taper (essentially CT); withdrawal symptoms after 4 mos (didn't realize was WD) -10/07: 100 mg Zoloft; 1 mg Klonopin - tapered off Klonopin after 4 mos. Several unsuccessful slow tapers of Zoloft; went up and down in dose a lot -Spring 2013 back on 1 mg Klonopin to counter WD symptoms; switched over 5-6 mos from Zoloft to 35 mg citalopram -Two attempts at slow tapering citalopram, always increased dose due to WD; also increased Klonopin to 1.25 mg in 2014, then to 1.5 mg in 2015 -8/17-9/17: After holding one year at 20 mg, feeling withdrawal symptoms due to stress - slowly increased to 25 mg. No change in symptoms after 6 months (? tolerance ?) - decided to start citalopram taper February 2018 (still on Klonopin 1.5 mg). Fast taper (essentially CT); withdrawal symptoms after 4 mos (didn't realize was WD) -10/07: 100 mg Zoloft; 1 mg Klonopin - tapered off Klonopin after 4 mos. Several unsuccessful slow tapers of Zoloft; went up and down in dose a lot -Spring 2013 back on 1 mg Klonopin to counter WD symptoms; switched over 5-6 mos from Zoloft to 35 mg citalopram -Two attempts at slow tapering citalopram, always increased dose due to WD; also increased Klonopin to 1.25 mg in 2014, then to 1.5 mg in 2015 -8/17-9/17: After holding one year at 20 mg, feeling withdrawal symptoms due to stress - slowly increased to 25 mg. No change in symptoms after 6 months (? tolerance ?) - decided to start citalopram taper February 2018 (still on Klonopin 1.5 mg). Sorry want relief, that you are also suffering... kristine , I hope you do better today! 2001 Remeron , Celexa, prozac a week on lithium. 2014 went off effexor and trazadone in 3 weeks. 2014 zoloft (hyper reaction) put on effexor 75 mg. Was stable until 2017 2017 Trazadone 50 mg (June) Effexor to 113 mg (2 weeks) Effexor 150 mg for a month . Took 75 mg until November. . Lithium 10 days, Lamactil 10 day aug-nov15 ativan October : Prozac bridge to get off 75 mg of effexor Used 10 mg of prozac. Stopped prozac 3 wk Dec 6, 7 Upped trazadone from 50 to 100 mg Did it for 3 days Stopped it Dec 7 , Dec 8 Took prozac again 0.1 , 0.1, 0.6 stopped it Dec 11 and Dec 12 upped it to 100 again Dec 15 , 16,17 went back to 50 mg of trazadone December 18 Began 3 beads of effexor Dec 25 began 5 beads of effexor take 10 mg of omneprazole daily Link to comment
